  • AB BANK ZAMBIA LIMITED REDUCES INTEREST RATES ON LOANS

    AB Bank is one of the fastest growing commercial Banks in Zambia whose mission and vision borders around providing financial services to MSMEs and Small Holder Farmers. Over the past 6 years of existence, AB Bank has disbursed more than 60 thousand business loans worth over ZMW 635 million in Lusaka and the Copperbelt. AB Bank recently finalised a capital increase aimed at increasing its capacity to continue supporting and empowering MSMEs and Small Holder Farmers in Zambia. The Bank has reduced its lending rates to all MSME loans effective 4th September 2017. This is in line with government’s efforts in encouraging banks to support private sector by providing loans with favourable interest rates through the reduction of Policy Rate and Statutory Reserve Ratio by the Bank of Zambia. Furthermore, AB Bank in conjunction with the Savings Bank Foundation for International Cooperation (SBFIC) has continued to support the government’s financial literacy agenda through various Corporate Social Responsibility activities including the training and equipping of marketeers from markets such as Mtendere, COMESA, Kamwala, Olympia, and Garden market with business management skills that will enable them grow and manage their businesses better. The Bank also strongly promotes a savings culture by offering competitive interest rates on savings accounts.     AB Bank Zambia Kalingalinga branch celebs its 3rd anniversary with new mothers and new born babies at Kalingalinga Clinic. AB Bank Kalingalinga Branch celebrated its 3rd anniversary on the 13th of June by giving gifts to new babies at the Kalingalinga Clinic labour. Accompanied by the German ambassador to Zambia German Ambassador and AB Bank CEO Armando Sirolla and representatives from different Media organisations, the bank also donated food stuffs, cleaning supplies and toiletries to the clinic. In a speech to the new mothers and Kalingalinga clinic staff members, the CEO Armando Sirolla said AB Bank Zambia is committed to providing residents of Kalingalinga, Mutendere, Kalikiliki Compound and the surrounding areas with easily accessible financial services aimed at contributing to the financial inclusion goals which will help create a better future for the new generation. The anniversary celebration was concluded at the branch with music and dancing, while the AB Bank Kalingalinga Branch staff alongside the CEO and German ambassador ended the day by appreciating its clients with bank branded items such us back packs, savings piggy banks, branded key rings and pens.     AB Bank Zambia hosted students from different schools in their branches during the Financial Literacy week that took place from Friday 11th of March up to the 19th of March 2016 to expose then to the daily operations of the bank and what they should look forward if they decide to pursue a career in banking after they complete their high school education. This exercise did not only accord the students an opportunity to explore their career options, but also helped learn more about banking and the benefits of saving.
